(Source: United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York) Preet Bharara, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced that DIONYSIUS FIUMANO, a/k/a 'D,' was sentenced in Manhattan federal court to 16 years in prison for helping to orchestrate a massive mortgage modification scheme through which he and his co-conspirators defrauded thousands of American homeowners out of a total of approximately $31 million.
